CHRISTINE

Saxophone

Christine had her first play of Sax at 39 years old and was in love immediately. Christine was volunteering at Plymouth Mind, supporting those with mental health problems to express themselves through music, which led to numerous public performances playing the sax and this is where it all started!

Christine then went on to run and play at a weekly ukulele workshop playing at numerous events including the Lord Mayors day. Christine continued to play the Saxophone at open mic nights from which a band was formed. After many gigs around the pubs and clubs of Plymouth, Christine found herself looking for something new. This is where she found the Urban Party Project!

MATT

Bass Guitar

Matt has been playing bass for over 20 years and has played over 300 gigs throughout the south west of England. Originally a guitarist, Matt switched to bass guitar when he joined his first band. He found the bass was much better suited to his personality and he has developed strong sense of groove and loves to get people moving. Much happier at the back of the stage holding it down and is where the UPP's solid back line begins.
Matt is most at home playing soul and motown but he has been known to add the bottom end in funk, indie, reggae and pop ensembles.
